Our conservatories are manufactured using three materials:
In terms of cost uPVC is the least expensive followed by aluminium with hardwood generally being the more expensive option. Before deciding absolutely on which material you choose for your conservatory it is worth looking at some of the timber look-alike features available in PVC-u.
This question can relate to a few different aspects of the roof. A Victorian conservatory can either have a translucent roof (glass or polycarbonate) or a solid roof (tiles or another form of roofing material). In terms of cost polycarbonate will normally be the most cost effective with glass or some sort of tiled or other roofing material being of a similar cost. Apart from cost, the type of roof material you choose should depend on several factors including which way the proposed conservatory faces in relation to the sun. The proposed use of the room should also be a deciding factor. Our design consultant will be pleased to offer you more advice.
